Seattle Martial Arts Academy offers martial art classes for young children ages 3 to 7 in our Kinderkarate & Kung Fu Panda classes. School age children ages (7 & Up) will find our Family Tae-Kwon-Do class challenging and exciting. And for those teens and adults looking for some traditional Filipino Martial Arts...you will find your inner warrior in our Arnis, Kali & Escrima classes. We believe everyone should be able to practice the martial arts if they have the desire and dedication regardless of their financial situation. As a result of this belief we offer reduced tuition for those families who need it. Please call us to enquire about this program. Seattle Arnis Academy provides training in
the Martial Arts of Arnis, Kali & Seattle Arnis Academy draws on the concepts of Arnis, Kali, Escrima, JKD, Karate, Taekwondo, Silat, Judo & Aikido. Keyword...concepts! Modern Arnis is just that...modern! Modern Arnis is about changing, adapting & integrating. The FMA is not based on rigid rules or outdated kata. The effectiveness of Arnis relies in its simplicity of movement, and its flexibility & adaptability to the individual martial artist. Everything about Arnis works...and works together! The Filipino Martial Arts of Arnis, Kali & Eskrima, have a very rich history, going back hundreds of years and continuing to evolve to this day. Modern Arnis is a term & blended Filipino martial art style developed by Grandmaster Remy P. Presas in 1957. Modern Arnis continued to develop and evolve as the founder evolved. Modern Arnis is alive and well and continues to grow with the founders son Remy Presas Jr. and the M.A.R.P.P.I.O. organization. Seattle Modern Arnis supports the expansion of Modern Arnis & the Filipino Martial Arts worldwide. The USA Moo Sool Association was founded in 1986 to promote the Filipino Martial Arts of Arnis, Kali & Escrima and the Korean Art of Taekwondo. Seattle Modern Arnis is the oldest Filipino martial arts school in Seattle, Washington and is a member of the USA Moo Sool Association. Seattle Modern Arnis Academy welcomes all styles of martial artists to come and learn "the art within your art". We think you will find our training fun & effective and our students & instructors friendly and welcoming!

Escrima. At our
SAA training center you will
learn Single Stick, Double Stick, Filipino Bolo, Traditional Sword & Knife
techniques and empty hand techniques that involve everything from kicking,
sweeping, throwing , boxing skills, along with knees & elbow striking &
joint locking techniques.
